The Rehabilitation Hospital and Medical Centre opened 30th October 2002 to provide care to both inpatients and outpatients. Patients are provided with the highest quality of medical care by highly experienced physicians, therapists, nurses, and support staff. The facility covers more than 1,000,000 square meters, and is located just north of Riyadh in the Banban area. The aim is to be an internationally recognized centre of excellence in rehabilitation and related healthcare services. The Rehabilitation Hospital and Medical Centre has developed a structured, interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation, with consideration given to the specialized needs of patients and their disabilities.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Prosthetist & Orthotist provides prosthetic and orthotic devices for all referred patients of the Rehabilitation Hospital.  The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, patient evaluation, design of prescribed devices, fabrication, and patient fitting with device(s), patient training, patient education, troubleshooting and participation in the interdisciplinary treatment team. The Prosthetist & Orthotist may assist with new employee orientation, in-service training, off site marketing, consultant Prosthetics & Orthotics at other hospitals and wheelchair seating and positioning activities.

EDUCATION:

Minimum: BA degree in Prosthetics/Orthotics.

EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years’ plus experience as a Certified Prosthetist/ Orthotist preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Certified for Medical Prosthetics and Orthotics in point of hire.BLS training within 90 days of employment.Physical ability to lift, support, position and manually move fabrication equipment and to assist the patient with donning and doffing the prosthesis/orthotic device and to exercise patients.Pleasant and effective communication skills with patients, families, co-workers, etc.Clear, concise and timely documentation skills.Time management and prioritization skills to meet role demands.Patient treatment skills are progressive, functional and effective.

CONTRACT PACKAGE:

Very competitive. Will be discussed during interview.
